The Canberra Day at Cockington Green charity fundraiser was a huge success, raising $3778 for YouthCare Canberra.

YouthCare Canberra and Cockington Green Gardens were thrilled with the success from the day, as it exceeded all expectations. The funds raised were from a mixture of gold coin donations and rides on the miniature steam-train.

The first ever YouthCARE Canberra Prime Minister’s XI Cricket Lunch was an enormous success, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

YouthCARE Canberra has congratulated its youth outreach worker, Zack  Bryers , on his Churchill Fellowship.

Zack is one of eight Canberrans to receive the prestigious Fellowship to travel overseas to pursue their interests.

Zack will use the Fellowship next year to travel to Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit and Rio De Janeiro to live in the ghettos and work on the front line in the innovative "cure violence"...

Zack Bryers' has gone from being a homeless teenager, a soldier in Afghanistan, a gridiron player for Australia, to now being a 24/7 youth care worker, and a loving partner and Father. Along with Zack's many achievements, receiving the award for Outstanding Youth Worker of the Year for the ACT is definitely one of his greatest.

In the past month, approximately 1700 to 2000 people have been homeless in the ACT. St John's Care aims to help those living week-to-week, who can't afford to eat and who are suffering from domestic violence and homelessness.
