Prime Minister's XI Cricket Lunch

Prime Minister's XI Cricket Lunch

Wednesday, February 22, 2017

The first ever YouthCARE Canberra Prime Minister’s XI Cricket Lunch was an enormous success, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

The day involved delicious food, an exciting auction and a lucky raffle winner, rounded out by a sunset game against Sri Lanka at Manuka Oval. The panel discussion left us all moved by Cate McGregor’s passion and respect for cricket, whilst cricket champion Brian Booth had us in stitches as he reminisced on the golden days of the sport. We were also lucky enough to get an insider’s view into cricket from Cricket Australia CEO, James Sutherland. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to each panellist for donating their time and expertise.

We would also like to thank our sponsors, the Helen Notaras Memorial Foundation and Boss Constructions, along with everyone else who contributed to the fantastic lunch. The event exceeded our expectations and raised much-needed funds to assist vulnerable young people facing homelessness, violence and other traumas. This event would not have been possible without the support and generosity of the Canberra community.
