Stephen is a 17-year-old who is the sole carer for his two little brothers aged nine and 10, and his father who six weeks ago had open-heart surgery. His dad was then terminated from his job as a truck driver when he was unable to work due to his ill-health. The boys' mother died last year of cancer aged just 39, and now the family is on the verge of homelessness.

The Canberra Day at Cockington Green charity fundraiser was a huge success, raising $3778 for YouthCare Canberra.

YouthCare Canberra and Cockington Green Gardens were thrilled with the success from the day, as it exceeded all expectations. The funds raised were from a mixture of gold coin donations and rides on the miniature steam-train.

The first ever YouthCARE Canberra Prime Minister’s XI Cricket Lunch was an enormous success, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
